Returns & Refunds Policy

At O2 For U, we supply medical gases, compressed gas equipment, and select durable medical equipment (DME) to healthcare, commercial, and industrial customers. Due to the nature of these products and strict safety and compliance requirements, all returns are subject to the terms outlined below.

 

Return Window (DME Items Only)

  • Eligible DME items may be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date.

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges are accepted after 30 days, without exception.

Compressed Gas, Cylinders & Gas Equipment – Final Sale

For safety, compliance, and regulatory reasons, the following items are non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered, regardless of condition:

  • Medical, industrial, or commercial gas cylinders of any size

  • Regulators, valves, manifolds, gauges, hoses, fittings, and gas-handling equipment

  • Cylinder accessories including caps, carts, stands, or protective devices

  • Any item that has been pressurized, filled, partially filled, connected, installed, tested, or placed into service

  • Any product associated with oxygen, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, medical air, or compressed gas N.O.S.

These items cannot be restocked, re-certified, or resold once they leave our control and are therefore final sale, even if they appear unused or unopened.

 

Leased & Exchange Cylinders

Cylinders provided under lease, rental, or exchange programs remain the property of O2 For U and are not sold items. As such, they are not eligible for return or refund and must be handled in accordance with the applicable service agreement.

 

DME Return Eligibility

To qualify for a DME return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Item must be unused, unopened, and in new condition

  • Item must be returned in original packaging with all manuals, accessories, and components

  • Proof of purchase is required

  • Items must not be sent to the manufacturer; all returns must be processed through O2 For U

Any item showing signs of use, wear, odor, assembly, installation, testing, or patient contact will be denied and returned at the customer’s expense.

 

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

In addition to compressed gas items, the following are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Any opened, used, or unsealed product

  • Cannulas, masks, tubing, filters, humidifiers, and all single-patient-use items

  • Mattresses, cushions, foam products, pillows, or other soft goods once removed from sealed packaging

  • Special-order, custom-built, or made-to-order items

  • Items marked “non-returnable” at purchase

  • Clearance, discounted, or sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Any item O2 For U determines cannot be safely reintroduced into inventory due to compliance or safety concerns

Restocking Fees (Approved DME Returns Only)

Approved DME returns are subject to mandatory restocking fees:

  • 25% restocking fee for small items

  • 35% restocking fee for large equipment

Restocking fees are deducted from the approved refund amount.

 

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued at O2 For U’s sole discretion for items that:

  • Are returned with missing parts or accessories

  • Are not in original condition

  • Are received outside the return window but still meet safety standards

Refund Process

Once a return is received and inspected:

  • Customers will be notified of approval or denial

  • Approved refunds are issued only to the original payment method

  • Financial institutions may require additional time to post funds

Damaged or Incorrect Items

O2 For U only replaces items that:

  • Arrive with manufacturer defects, or

  • Were incorrectly shipped by O2 For U

Damage that occurs during shipping is the responsibility of the carrier. Customers must file claims directly with the shipping carrier.

If an item arrives damaged:

  1. Do not discard packaging

  2. Contact the carrier immediately

  3. Provide required documentation and photos

Once an order is handed to the carrier, O2 For U is not responsible for shipping-related damage.

All authorized returns must be shipped to:

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

  • Return shipping costs may be deducted from approved refunds

  • Trackable and insured shipping is strongly recommended for high-value items

O2 For U is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.
